My Favorite Hmm...
Mood:  incredulous
Hello All! In response to some of your questions I have not one but two favorite films. The two movies are "Splendor in the Grass" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

Splendor is one of my favorites because I simply adore Natalie Woods and Warren Beatty. They are two of the most talented stars of our time(In my opinion)
Second I love the premise of the film. You always remember your first love and how wonderful it was. How it made you feel more alive than ever before.I just hope that no one had to go to a mental facility to get over there true first love. Third and most important it is the first movie I had ever seen. Truly inspiring how Kazan captured the innocence of Natalie and the stud in Warren.

Breakfast because I love Audrey Hepburn. Holly Golightly is the greatest character of all time. She is quirky, melancholy, and complex. Yet she evokes happiness, hostility and compassion out of the people who watch the movie or at least me. She is a true character and I loved the book as well. Not to mention George Peppard but hey whoo that is a different story all together.

Now as for the "Interpreter" Sean Penn is a genius. He is a true gentleman and absolutely adorable. Cannot give out plotlines due to contractual obligations until filming has ended but the movie is fast-paced.

Love,
Nic

Audrey Hepburn is amazing, I agree. I wish I knew the film industry like you do. I have a lot to learn before I can actually speak to someone of your experience with the industry.

But, one comment. This is so lame to comment about you and I swear I'm not a brown noser. I truly adore your characters. Exceptional work as an actress. I mean, you have to know you are a leader of the female pack, right?!As I am of the working class, I tend to wait until they come out on matinee days or blockbuster video to be smart with my money. Helps me get out and live. But, I see that doesn't harm you too much. I hope.

I have been starting for the first time this summer, a book. People have been telling me, I have got to get my story out. Some girl gave me a number to a head hunter for new talent (screenplays) for Scorcese. What is your take on him? What genre(s) does he usually direct. I thought perhaps your insight and knowledge may help educate me on this matter. But, if you think I'm one of those people 'wanting to know what you can do for me' I have misled you. I am not that type. I have been to California, I know that breed. I am merely here to chit chat and thought that may be topic of interest/common ground to you.

I like movies like I said in the last post that have happy endings. To some that may seem simple and I've watched and enjoyed all kinds of movies but I just prefer movies that make me happy. Splendor just depressed the crap out of me. It was a good movie but at the end I just wanted to cry!! Loved Breakfast though...great, great, great movie. I mentioned in my last post that I love musicals but I forgot to mention how shocked I was when I saw Moulin Rouge. I always knew you were talented but never knew you could sing. I truly do believe that was your best work EVER!!!! Was that a hard film to make? Did you enjoy it? Chicago was another musical I really enjoyed. I was kind of surprised by Richard Gere in that movie like I was of you in Rouge. It's not that I think either of you are incapable it was just that you had never done anything like that on that kind of scale before. Just amazing. It really shows how multi-talented you are. Well, have a good one and stay happy and healthy!

Hey, bud! Just one word of advice concerning your favorite film of all time: It's Natalie WOOD, not WOODS.
Love Lots,

What about co-star Catherine... is she as wry and witty as she seems? Why do you reckon her career hasn't really taken off? I think she's brilliant. And do tell all about working with Sidney. He seems very charming - and quite sexy for an older man... though I could be tranferring Robert Redford's intensity onto him, since I have seen them interviewed together! Those should be things that can be shared without threatening any contractual commitments.

Also, how does one film one movie and be in pre-production for another at the same time? Does it require a lot of flying back and forth, or is the pre-production work mostly learning lines? Is it even possible to learn lines for two films simultaneously without botching them up completely? God knows I have a hard enough time learning one word at a time (of foreign languages) let alone learning entire passages! I am sure I would be a miserable failure at acting. Besides, I'm far to self-conscious. I could never take myself seriously enough to pull of "doing" a character. Or perhaps I take myself too seriously. Not sure which way that works.

Ciao, and thanks for the answers!
Sid
